Frequently Asked Questions
I find it difficult to talk openly about myself, so how can I have counselling?
It is not unusual to find the early counselling sessions difficult or uncomfortable. Silences are a normal part of this. As you become more used to having a chance to talk about yourself and as you realise you have a non-judgmental ear to listen, you will almost certainly find it easier to talk and will begin to appreciate the benefits of being able to do this.
How much does counselling cost?
The cost of counselling depends on your financial circumstances. This will be assessed at your initial interview. You will be asked to contribute towards your initial interview.
The normal payment is £35 but, if you are on a very low wage or unemployed, this may be negotiated or paid in 3 stages. The amount you are asked to contribute towards your ongoing counselling sessions will be discussed with you at your initial interview.
